Gosh. About me. So much to say, so little time.
I like to keep things simple. I’m an outgoing introvert so I think a lot and I can be a little (A. Little.) quiet and reserved at times. I’m friendly at a party, but will then seek out the quiet spot. I’m an INTJ and from what I’ve read about that personality type – a pretty darn good one. I used to apologize for that. I don’t anymore.
I’m independent and I like to learn new things but I do get frustrated with myself. I WISH I had the same amount of patience for myself as I have for others. I’ve been told I have a high tolerance for bad behavior. This is something I’m working to change.
I’m a ‘jeans & t-shirt kind of girl, but I clean up nicely. I’ve been told I’m low maintenance but I’m unsure if that’s a compliment or not. I’m most at peace around large bodies of water.
I’m a Mama Bear, Community Advocate, and aspiring catcher of many bluegills (which is code for “I’ll go fishing. I even like fishing. I do not, in the least bit, take fishing seriously.”) I just bought a bicycle last year and learned to paddle a kayak this year. I suck at both, but I’m getting better. Life is about learning, right? I can build a fire. I can call roadside assistance. I can shoot a gun.
I like cheeseburgers and road trips, wine, whiskey, Diet Pepsi, and Milk Duds. I’m what we Missourians call “a swang voter”. I identify as ‘Christian’ but I don’t go to church and I like learning about the beliefs others hold. I’m pretty open-minded but draw the line at cheap whiskey. Sorry, not sorry.
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was eight years old. I was an avid reader as a child and I’ve had my nose stuck in a book most of my life. My favorites include S.E. Hinton, Jodi Picoult, Zachry K. Douglas, and JmStorm. I’m a romantic. I believe, no matter how many times I screw up, the Universe will always auto-correct my destiny.
